Mr O’Connor appeared before Judge Nicola Andrews in custody on Monday at Drogheda District Court where the court heard the book of evidence is expected to be ready in four weeks.
Defence solicitor Paul J Moore said there is consent to four weeks for the book to be ready.
Court presenter Sergeant John O’Hehir said he has received formal directions from the DPP that the accused is to face trial on indictment in the Central Criminal Court in Dublin.
Sgt O’Hehir also said the DPP also directs the accused can be sent forward on a signed guilty plea for sentence, should that arise.

Mr Moore sought preliminary disclosure in advance of receiving the book of evidence. However Judge Andrews told Mr Moore she “is not getting into that” and advised him to write to the State.
Judge Andrews further remanded the accused to appear before the court again on Monday, December 22 when the book of evidence is expected to be served on him.
